Working hours: 7.5hours per week, working 38 weeks per year (term time, excluding TD days)

Working pattern: Monday to Friday, 12.00noon to 1.30pm

Job summary

We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and reliable Midday Supervisory Assistant (MDSA) to join our friendly school team. The successful candidate will help supervise pupils during lunchtime, ensuring they are safe, happy and well cared for. You will encourage positive behaviour, support pupils during play and lunch, and help create a welcoming and inclusive environment. We are looking for someone who is patient, approachable and enjoys working with children as part of a team. Previous experience of working with children is desirable but not essential, as training and support will be provided.

Our School

Queen’s Crescent School is a two-form entry primary school, based in Chippenham with over 400 pupils on roll across 14 classes. In 2014 the school became a single academy trust and subsequently joined Pickwick Academy Trust in 2017 as one of the four founding schools. Queen’s Crescent is a vibrant school and our energetic, caring and positive staff are committed to providing the best primary education for all of our children. Children learn best when they feel happy and safe, so we aim to provide a nurturing environment that allows them to succeed but also feel safe to make mistakes along the way. Our curriculum is broad and balanced and delivered by means of stimulating learning enquiries that build on prior knowledge and skills, preparing each individual for the next phase of their education and life beyond school. We are currently investing significantly in our IT infrastructure to support the delivery of the curriculum enabling our teachers to teach in new and dynamic ways which in turn results in fantastic outcomes for our children.
