Queen's Crescent School is seeking to appoint a caring, committed and enthusiastic 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our team, providing dedicated support to a pupil to help them access learning and achieve their full potential. Working closely with the class teacher and wider staff team, you will provide tailored support in line with the pupil’s individual needs, including learning, behaviour and emotional wellbeing.

You will encourage independence, confidence and positive engagement with learning, while supporting the pupil to participate fully in school life. The role may also involve supporting a pupil with SEND, personal care or other specific needs where required.

We are looking for a patient, calm and adaptable individual with excellent communication skills who can build a positive and trusting relationship with the pupil and work effectively as part of the wider school team.

Our School Queen's Crescent School is a two-form entry primary school, based in Chippenham with over 400 pupils on roll across 14 classes. In 2014 the school became a single academy trust and subsequently joined Pickwick Academy Trust in 2017 as one of the four founding schools. Queen's Crescent is a vibrant school and our energetic, caring and positive staff are committed to providing the best primary education for all of our children.

Children learn best when they feel happy and safe, so we aim to provide a nurturing environment that allows them to succeed but also feel safe to make mistakes along the way. In such an atmosphere, we believe that every child can achieve their full potential, irrespective of ability or background.
