Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Information Manager to support a major infrastructure programme, playing a critical role in embedding ISO 19650-compliant information management practices across project delivery.
Reporting to the Lead Information Manager, you will drive the adoption of digital standards, systems, and processes, ensuring consistent, high-quality information delivery across complex project environments.
The Role
You will be responsible for implementing and embedding information management requirements within the project delivery team, ensuring alignment with ISO 19650 and client standards, including EIR, BEP, and MIDP. This is a hands-on leadership role combining governance, systems implementation, and stakeholder engagement across digital, BIM, and GIS functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the adoption and compliant use of Common Data Environment (CDE) systems across all project packages
- Oversee rollout, configuration, and user adoption of platforms including ACC, GIS systems, and SharePoint
- Review and approve BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and ensure MIDP alignment with client requirements
- Manage and maintain CDE access controls and governance processes
- Support transition from legacy systems to new digital ways of working
- Oversee information delivery teams including Document Control, BIM, and GIS resources
- Assess delivery team capability and capacity for information management
- Drive continuous improvement in IM processes, tools, and standards
- Support contract-related digital matters (e.g. early warnings, change events)
- Contribute to risk management, identifying digital risks and opportunities
- Deliver training, guidance, and communication materials across project teams
- Ensure information delivery assurance against client acceptance criteria
Key Interfaces: Project & Programme Managers; Project Information Managers; BIM & GIS Coordinators; Document Controllers; Contractor & Partner IM/BIM teams; Digital & Information Management leadership.
Your Experience
- Proven experience as a Project Information Manager on major infrastructure projects
- Strong working knowledge and application of ISO 19650 / BS1192 frameworks
- Experience defining and managing information requirements across asset lifecycles
- Expertise in CDE implementation and management
- Strong understanding of BEP, MIDP, and TIDP processes
- Knowledge of COBie and IFC standards
- Ability to manage data schemas, specifications, and exchange requirements
- Experience with digital engineering solutions across large-scale programmes
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy
Desirable
- Experience within energy transmission or infrastructure sectors
- Understanding of enterprise IM systems and asset data management
- Knowledge of operational and asset data requirements
