Contract Opportunity: VBA Developer

Location: London (Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week)

Contract Duration: Long-term (14 months – performance-based)

Rate: Competitive DOE, Inside IR35

About the Role

Our consultancy client is seeking skilled VBA Developers to join a key End User Computing (EUC) team within the financial services sector. This is a great opportunity to develop tailored solutions for internal users and improve critical business tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and support Excel-based end-user applications using VBA.
• Analyze requirements, design and document new IT solutions.
• Contribute to ongoing improvement of end-user tools, security, and infrastructure.
• Support both technical and non-technical internal users.
• Understand and help manage risks related to end-user applications.

Required Experience

Essential:

• Strong Excel and VBA skills, with a deep understanding of the Excel Object Model.
• Hands-on experience in building and supporting tactical end-user applications.

Desirable:

• 5–7+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong skills in planning, estimating work, and clear reporting.
• Good understanding of end-user risk and control practices.
