Watford (2 days onsite) Ad-hoc travel to London, Birmingham, and other UK office locations. Our client is seeking an experienced Technical Security Consultant (Manager level) to join a specialist Security Consultancy function supporting enterprise-wide digital transformation and secure technology innovation initiatives. This role focuses on providing technical security leadership across modern digital platforms, cloud-native solutions, AI/GenAI capabilities, and enterprise architecture programmes. You’ll work closely with engineering, architecture, product, and business teams to ensure secure‑by‑design principles are embedded across the full solution lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical security consultancy and leadership across digital solutions and enterprise platforms
- Collaborate with engineering, product, architecture, and delivery teams to ensure solutions align with security requirements and best practices
- Conduct architecture and design reviews to support secure solution delivery
- Perform threat modelling activities and provide risk‑based security recommendations
- Advise on secure adoption of AI/GenAI technologies including: LLM integrations, AI security guardrails and misuse prevention
- Support secure‑by‑design adoption across cloud, SaaS, and enterprise platforms
- Define and scope security testing requirements for new systems and products
- Conduct post‑deployment security architecture reviews
- Support development of secure coding guidance, security patterns, and security standards documentation
- Contribute to solution architecture activities for security‑focused initiatives including IAM and AI security
- Collaborate with governance, change management, and design authority functions
- Promote security awareness, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives
Required Skills & Experience
- Core Security & Architecture Experience
- Prior experience in one or more of the following: Technical Security Architecture or Consulting, Security Operations, Secure Application Development
- Strong understanding of application, cloud, SaaS, and enterprise security concepts and best practices
- Experience working within Agile and DevOps delivery environments
- Hands‑on experience using threat modelling within enterprise programmes
- Experience securing digital products and enterprise solutions across one or more of the following areas: Google Cloud, ServiceNow, SAP, Networks, firewalls, routers, switches, LAN/WAN, SDN, Windows, Linux, Apple, and Android operating systems
- Security technologies such as: CyberArk, SailPoint
- Excellent stakeholder communication and consulting capability
- Ability to explain technical security concepts to different audiences
- AI/GenAI threat modelling and AI security governance
- Container and serverless security
- Infrastructure and network security
- Secure application development and testing practices
- Experience within regulated or customer‑facing environments
- Security certifications such as: Certified Information Systems Security Professional, Certified Cloud Security Professional, AWS / Azure / Google security certifications
