Our client is seeking an experienced Red Hat Deployment & Platform Engineer to join a high‐performance engineering team supporting enterprise‐grade platforms within a secure, compliance‐driven environment. This role offers the opportunity to work on large‐scale Red Hat and Kubernetes platforms, driving automation, reliability, and operational excellence across critical services.
You will work closely with DevOps, SRE, Platform Engineering, Infrastructure, and Security teams to design, deploy, automate, and maintain robust platforms that are secure, scalable, and highly available.
Key Responsibilities- Deploy, configure, and manage platforms based on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and associated technologies
- Implement, operate, and maintain Kubernetes clusters (OpenShift experience desirable)
- Ensure platforms meet high availability, scalability, and security requirements
- Manage build, deployment, and orchestration processes using Jenkins and related CI/CD tools
- Automate platform builds, configuration, and deployments using scripting and pipelines
- Design, enhance, and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines
- Ensure deployments are repeatable, reliable, and secure, aligned with best practices
- Contribute to SRE practices, including monitoring, alerting, incident response, and reliability improvements
- Support observability initiatives across logging, monitoring, and alerting toolsets
- Troubleshoot complex issues across Linux, Kubernetes, CI/CD, networking, and security layers
- Work closely with DevOps, Infrastructure, Security, and Development teams
- Produce and maintain technical documentation, deployment runbooks, and operational standards
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives
You are a seasoned platform engineer with strong hands‐on experience in Red Hat, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tooling. You thrive in controlled, secure environments, have a strong automation mindset, and take pride in building resilient, well‐engineered platforms. Experience working alongside SRE teams and a passion for operational excellence will help you succeed in this role.
Essential Skills & Experience- Extensive hands‐on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
- Strong experience operating Kubernetes environments
- Proven expertise with Jenkins and CI/CD pipeline management
- Deployment automation and scripting skills (Bash, Python, YAML)
- Experience working in secure or compliance‐driven environments
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‐solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- OpenShift platform experience
- Infrastructure‐as‐Code (IaC) tools (e.g. Ansible, Terraform)
- SRE practices: Monitoring and alerting, Reliability and resilience engineering, Automation of operational tasks
- Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or equivalent
- Kubernetes certifications (CKA / CKAD)
- DevOps or SRE‐related certifications
