Role Overview
Our client is seeking a highly skilled
Power BI Developer with strong experience in test support, data validation, and reporting solutions.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports while actively supporting SIT, UAT, Regression Testing, and Production Validation activities.
This role requires a strong combination of technical expertise, analytical thinking, and stakeholder management skills to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and quality of reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Power BI Development
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards, reports, and scorecards.
- Create and optimize data models, DAX measures, calculated columns, and KPIs.
- Develop ETL and data transformation logic using Power Query.
- Integrate data from multiple sources including SQL Server, Azure, APIs, and flat files.
- Implement report performance tuning and optimization techniques.
- Ensure adherence to data governance, security, and reporting standards.
- Testing & Support
- Provide end-to-end support during SIT, UAT, Regression Testing, and production release cycles.
- Perform detailed data validation and source-to-target reconciliation.
- Investigate, analyze, and resolve defects related to reports, dashboards, and data models.
- Conduct root cause analysis for data discrepancies and reporting issues.
- Collaborate with QA teams, Business Analysts, and stakeholders to validate business requirements.
- Support test case preparation, execution, defect tracking, and resolution activities.
- Validate report calculations, business rules, and KPI logic against requirements.
- Participate in defect triage meetings and provide timely resolutions.
- Production Support
- Monitor report refreshes and troubleshoot data load failures.
- Support production deployments and post-deployment validations.
- Address business user queries and reporting issues within SLA timelines.
- Ensure data accuracy and reporting stability across environments.
- Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
- Advanced knowledge of DAX, Power Query, and data modeling concepts.
- Strong SQL querying, data analysis, and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience in data warehousing concepts (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema).
- Proven experience supporting SIT, UAT, Regression Testing, and Production Validation.
- Strong expertise in data reconciliation, defect analysis, and root cause investigation.
- Experience with Azure Dev Ops, Jira, or similar defect tracking tools.
- Understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Databricks, or SSIS.
- Microsoft Power BI Certification is preferred.
- Exposure to CI/CD and deployment processes in BI environments.
- Experience working in Utilities, Finance, Banking, Telecom, or Retail domains.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- High attention to detail and commitment to data quality.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
