New Exciting role for Data Governance Lead

Location: Norwich (Hybrid- 3 days - flexible)

Contract Duration: 6 Months

IR35 Status: Inside IR35

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Governance Lead to drive and implement enterprise-wide data governance strategies. This role will be responsible for establishing governance frameworks, ensuring data quality, compliance, and promoting a strong data-driven culture across the organisation.

Your Profile

  • 8+ years of experience in Data Governance or related roles
  • Strong hands-on experience implementing data governance frameworks and strategies
  • Proven experience with data quality management, metadata management, and data lifecycle processes
  • Experience with data governance tools (e.g., Collibra, BigID, Alation, Informatica)
  • Strong understanding of data privacy, security, and compliance (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA)
  • Experience working with data owners, stewards, and cross-functional teams
  • Ability to define KPIs, metrics, and governance reporting frameworks
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience in risk management, access controls, and data protection strategies
  • Ability to lead initiatives and drive organisational change
