Our client is seeking an experienced Nokia Mediation Support Engineer to support mission-critical telecom mediation platforms within a high-volume production environment. As a Nokia Mediation Support Engineer, you will provide deep technical support and operational ownership across Nokia mediation platforms including Nokia EventLink and Nokia Data Refinery. You'll work closely with network, billing, charging, and downstream application teams to ensure mediation data is processed accurately, securely, and efficiently across high-volume telecom ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and maintain Nokia mediation platforms including EventLink and Nokia Data Refinery
- Provide L2/L3 support across mediation systems including incident, problem, and change management
- Support parsing, validation, enrichment, filtering, and aggregation logic across mediation workflows
- Manage end-to-end mediation data flows including: CDRs, UDRs, IPDRs
- Monitor and troubleshoot issues related to data quality, delays, failures, and high-volume processing
- Support file-based integrations using FTP/SFTP and scheduling mechanisms
- Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes to improve platform stability
- Collaborate with network, billing, charging, analytics, and revenue assurance teams
- Support upgrades, patches, configuration changes, and operational readiness activities
- Ensure adherence to SLAs, operational controls, and compliance requirements
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with: Nokia EventLink 7.x, Nokia Data Refinery 19.x or newer
- Strong understanding of telecom mediation concepts and workflows
- Experience processing: CDRs, UDRs, IPDRs
- Experience supporting parsing, enrichment, filtering, validation, and aggregation logic
- Strong troubleshooting capability across mediation workflows and interfaces
- Experience supporting high-volume production mediation pipelines
- Hands-on experience with: Linux/Unix, Shell scripting, Batch processing, Log analysis
- Experience with FTP/SFTP integrations, scheduling, and monitoring
- Strong understanding of ITIL processes including Incident, Problem, Change, and Release Management
- Experience providing L2/L3 production support within 24x7 operational environments
- Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively within fast-paced telecom support environments
- Strong analytical and root cause analysis capability
Desirable Experience
- Experience within UK or Tier 1 telecom environments
- Exposure to near real-time or streaming mediation processing
- Knowledge of Billing, Charging, Revenue Assurance, or Analytics platforms
- Understanding of Northbound and Southbound telecom systems
- Automation and scripting experience for operational efficiency
- Performance tuning and capacity management experience
- Exposure to cloud-native or containerised mediation environments
- Experience supporting migration or platform upgrade programmes
