We are seeking an experienced BI Developer to join a high-performing Risk Reporting team within a leading global financial services environment. This role will focus on developing scalable data solutions, supporting enterprise reporting capabilities, and enhancing business intelligence platforms.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on large-scale data warehousing and reporting initiatives within a complex, enterprise-grade environment.

Role Details

  • Location: London (Hybrid)
  • Contract Length: 6 Months
  • Working Pattern: Hybrid – 4 days onsite
  • Day Rate: Up to £455 per day (Inside IR35)

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop scalable data models, schemas, and pipelines
  • Develop data ingestion and transformation solutions using existing frameworks
  • Write and optimise complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions
  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and performance optimisation
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Implement data governance, security, and access controls
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and performance bottlenecks
  • Participate in code reviews and maintain technical documentation
  • Support CI/CD implementation for automated deployment and testing

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong expertise in SQL and advanced SQL concepts
  • Experience working with large-scale enterprise data warehouses
  • Strong understanding of dimensional modelling and star schema design
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake
  • Expertise in Power BI development
  • Experience with ETL/ELT processes and data integration techniques
  • Familiarity with Python and/or PowerShell scripting
  • Experience using dbt for data transformation and modelling

Desirable Experience

  • Financial services or risk reporting experience
  • Experience with orchestration tools such as Control-M
  • Exposure to Agile and DevOps methodologies
