Are you an experienced Tablet Support Engineer with hands-on experience in Microsoft Intune, device deployment, asset management, and end-user support? We're looking for a skilled professional to support a Tablet Device Management and Distribution Programme within an enterprise IT infrastructure environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support tablet devices using Microsoft Intune, including device enrolment, configuration, compliance monitoring, and policy deployment
- Provide Level 1 operational support for tablet-related incidents, service requests, and access issues
- Receive, stage, configure, test, and prepare tablet devices for deployment
- Support device provisioning, refresh, replacement, and decommissioning activities
- Perform post-build and post-enrolment validation to ensure devices are fully operational
- Validate device authentication, network connectivity, application access, and compliance status
- Allocate and issue tablets to end users while maintaining accurate asset records
- Provide first-line troubleshooting and user guidance for tablet functionality, applications, email, and connectivity
- Support user onboarding, floor-walking, and hypercare activities during deployment
- Maintain accurate CMDB and asset management records, including device allocations, returns, replacements, and stock movements
- Manage tablet inventory, secure storage, stock reconciliation, and regular stock audits
- Maintain chain-of-custody documentation and ensure compliance with asset management processes
- Diagnose and resolve common hardware, software, and configuration issues
- Escalate complex technical issues to Intune administrators, engineering teams, or relevant support functions
Required Skills
- Proven experience supporting and managing mobile/tablet devices using Microsoft Intune
- Hands-on experience with device provisioning, deployment, enrolment, and lifecycle management
- Strong L1 / Desktop Support / Service Desk experience
- Experience with asset management, inventory control, and CMDB updates
- Knowledge of Mobile Device Management (MDM) and enterprise device security
- Good understanding of Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD
- Experience working with ITIL-based incident, request, and asset management processes
- Valid and transferable SC Clearance β mandatory
