London / Bristol / Edinburgh (Hybrid – 2 days onsite). I am looking for experienced Enterprise Cloud & Data Architects to support a large-scale BFSI transformation programme focused on modern cloud, enterprise data, and platform architecture initiatives. This is an opportunity to work on enterprise-wide architecture strategy, cloud transformation, modern data platforms, and scalable technology solutions within a complex regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and drive enterprise cloud and data architecture strategy and roadmaps
  • Design scalable cloud-native architectures across Azure, AWS, and GCP
  • Lead cloud modernisation, migration, and hybrid/multi-cloud initiatives
  • Deliver enterprise data architecture solutions including Data Mesh, Lakehouse, and Data Fabric models
  • Drive API, microservices, and event-driven architecture adoption
  • Ensure governance, resilience, security, and compliance standards are met
  • Collaborate with engineering teams, architects, and business stakeholders across transformation programmes
  • Support innovation and continuous improvement across cloud and AI/data-driven platforms

Required Experience

  • Strong background in Enterprise Architecture, Cloud Architecture, or Data Architecture
  • Expertise across Azure, AWS, or GCP
  • Strong knowledge of Data Lakes, Lakehouse, Data Mesh, Kafka, Spark, ETL/ELT pipelines
  • Experience with microservices, APIs, and event-driven architecture
  • Understanding of governance, security, resilience, and compliance frameworks
  • Previous experience within Banking, Financial Services, or regulated enterprise environments is highly desirable
