Overview
Our client is looking for two experienced Senior Enterprise Architects to support strategic technology initiatives across Commercial Markets and Tech Strategy & Innovation in Financial Services. These roles are focused on shaping enterprise architecture, technology strategy, future-state roadmaps and transformation, while working closely with senior stakeholders across CTO, CIO, Architecture, Engineering and Business teams.
Role 1: Commercial Markets Architect
You’ll provide enterprise architecture capability within Commercial Banking Markets, supporting end-to-end architecture across a complex technology landscape.
Key Responsibilities & Experience
- Strong Enterprise Architecture experience within Investment Banking, Commercial Banking or Capital Markets
- Developing high-level, target-state, future-state and North Star architectures
- Creating technology roadmaps aligned to business and transformation objectives
- Strong expertise across Cloud, Azure, Data, Integration and Infrastructure
- Supporting transition states, solution designs and architecture delivery
- Providing guidance on architecture principles, standards, governance and technology guardrails
- Working closely with programme and workstream leads to shape scope, requirements and design roadmaps
- Identifying and managing cross-domain dependencies, risks and architectural constraints
- Influencing senior stakeholders across CTO, CIO, Architecture, Engineering and Business teams
- Delivering architecture artefacts, tooling strategies and data delivery patterns, with exposure to Architecture as Code desirable
Desirable: Murex experience, global banking architecture experience and experience leading or mentoring Enterprise Architects.
Role 2: Tech Strategy & Innovation Architect
You’ll work closely with the Group CTO and senior technology leadership to shape long-term technology strategy, architecture and investment priorities.
Key Responsibilities & Experience
- Strong Enterprise Architecture and Technology Strategy experience within a large, complex organisation
- Shaping long-term technology vision, strategic direction and future-state architecture
- Developing technology strategies, strategic viewpoints, future-state scenarios and roadmaps
- Advising senior leadership on technology investment and strategic priorities
- Assessing emerging technologies, market trends and industry developments
- Strong understanding of Cloud, Data, Platforms, Engineering, Security and modern technology
- Producing executive-level strategy documents, investment cases, board papers and decision-making materials
- Influencing senior stakeholders across CTO, CIO, Architecture, Engineering and Business teams
- Providing strategic direction across areas such as AI, Digital Identity, Digital Assets, Composability and Simplification
- Translating complex technology concepts into clear executive-level recommendations, while ensuring strategic and architectural alignment across programmes
Desirable: Financial Services or Technology Consulting experience, CTO advisory experience, IT Board engagement and knowledge of technology regulatory developments.
