We are seeking an experienced UFT Test Engineer to join a long-term transformation programme.
This is an excellent opportunity for a senior automation testing professional with strong Unified Functional Testing (UFT) and VBScript experience to work on complex enterprise applications.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks, creating robust test scripts, and supporting continuous testing practices across multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop automation frameworks using UFT (Unified Functional Testing).
- Create, maintain, and execute automation scripts using VBScript.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins or Azure Dev Ops.
- Lead automation testing activities across multiple projects.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and Dev Ops teams to improve test coverage and delivery quality.
- Monitor test execution, defects, and quality metrics.
- Provide technical guidance and support to other automation engineers.
Essential Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with UFT/QTP automation testing.
- Excellent VBScript automation scripting skills.
- Proven experience designing and implementing automation frameworks.
- Experience integrating automation testing into CI/CD environments.
- Strong understanding of STLC, QA methodologies, and defect management processes.
- Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments.
- Ability to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC eligibility required).
Desirable Experience
- 10+ years of experience in software testing and automation.
- Experience working in regulated or enterprise environments.
- Knowledge of additional automation tools or programming languages
