Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Information Modeller to support the design, governance, and management of enterprise information models. The role will work closely with architects, subject matter experts, and delivery teams to develop high-quality information models, schemas, and integration artefacts in line with agreed standards and governance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Information Modelling & Design
    • Develop information models using:
    • UML class diagrams for static and integration data
    • BPMN for business process modelling
    • ArchiMate for strategy and motivation views
    • UML interaction diagrams for interfaces and integrations
    • Create and maintain models using Sparx Enterprise Architect
  • Collaboration & Architecture Support
    • Work closely with subject matter experts to validate and refine models
    • Contribute to solution architecture across business, functional, and infrastructure domains
  • Governance, Compliance & Metadata
    • Support and implement information governance frameworks
    • Ensure compliance with data legislation, standards, and policies
    • Manage knowledge assets and metadata to support discoverability and reuse
  • Data Quality & Measurement
    • Support initiatives to define and implement data quality measurement methods
    • Apply agreed modelling standards, patterns, and tools consistently
  • Technical & Integration Design
    • Design physical relational database schemas, including constraints and historical data
    • Produce interaction diagrams and message payloads for HTTP-based APIs (GET, POST, PUT, PATCH, DELETE)
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Support stakeholder engagement and communication plans
    • Communicate complex models clearly to technical and non-technical audiences

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience with UML, BPMN, ArchiMate
  • Hands-on experience using Sparx Enterprise Architect
  • Solid understanding of data governance, metadata management, and compliance
  • Experience designing relational database schemas
  • Understanding of API and integration design using HTTP methods
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Desirable Experience

  • 5+ years’ experience in information modelling or data architecture roles
  • Experience working within large or complex organisations
