Our client is currently seeking an experienced Snowflake DBA for a 6-month contract role starting ASAP. This is a hybrid position, requiring partial on-site presence in Norwich, UK.
Role Overview:
As a Snowflake Database Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and securing Snowflake environments, optimizing performance, and ensuring governance and data integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain Snowflake accounts, database objects, and virtual warehouses
- Oversee data security, governance, and sharing via Snowflake Data Exchange & Marketplace
- Perform database monitoring, tuning, and capacity planning
- Handle disaster recovery, backups, and replication
- Utilize ANSI and Snowflake SQL
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Strong hands-on expertise with Snowflake, SQL, and AWS
- Proven database administration experience with a DB such as SQL Server, Exadata, Teradata etc.
- Familiarity with AWS services related to data and infrastructure
- Excellent communication skills with experience in client-facing roles
Contract Details:
- Location: Hybrid (Norwich, UK)
- Duration: 6 Months
- Start Date: ASAP (in the next 2-4 weeks)
- Rate: Competitive day rate inside IR35
