About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Frontend Developer with strong Next.js expertise to join a fast-paced retail programme. You will be responsible for building high-quality, scalable, and performant user interfaces for a modern e-commerce platform, working closely with designers, backend engineers, and product teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain responsive, high-performance frontend applications using Next.js, React, and TypeScript
- Translate UI/UX designs into clean, maintainable, and efficient code
- Collaborate with backend developers to integrate RESTful APIs and external services
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and optimise applications for mobile and desktop
- Participate in design discussions and contribute to high-level architecture decisions
- Write well-tested, documented, and reusable code
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including design, product, and QA
- Support delivery through active participation in agile ceremonies and technical discussions
Required Skills and Experience
- 8–12 years of frontend development experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Next.js
- Deep expertise in React, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
- Experience integrating APIs and working with backend services
- Strong understanding of performance optimisation and responsive design
- Experience working in agile, cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Desirable Skills
- Experience with CMS platforms such as Storyblok
- Familiarity with Node.js
- Experience in e-commerce or retail environments
- Knowledge of modern CSS frameworks such as Tailwind
