Network Security Administrator in West Drayton

Network & Security L2 Administrator Contract

Location:West London Office-Based
Rate: Competitive DOE, inside IR35
Duration: 6 months initially
Shift Pattern: 24/7 support environment with rotational shifts and days off

Our client, a global consultancy, is looking for experienced Level 2/3 Network & Security Administrators to deliver high-impact technical support across a large, complex enterprise network.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide L2/L3 support across OSI Layers 17

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across wired, wireless, and cloud-enabled networks

• Monitor network health using advanced diagnostic and monitoring tools

• Implement and support Cisco WLAN Controllers, SSIDs, Access Points

• Configure and troubleshoot routing protocols OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, VLANs, NAT, etc.

• Administer and maintain firewalls (Checkpoint), VPNs, and F5 LTM

• Manage DNS/DHCP, IPAM, software patching, and SSL certificates

• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve incidents

• Handle major incidents and proactively mitigate risks

Your Profile:

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Routing & Switching (Cisco, Juniper OEMs)

• Core protocols: OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, NAT

• Network security: VPNs, Checkpoint Firewall, Cisco ISE

• F5 LTM (iRules, SSL, upgrades)

• DNS/DHCP, IPAM

• Experience with LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, and wireless networks

• Strong problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills

• Comfortable in high-pressure and customer-facing environments

Certifications: CCNP, CCSA, F5 (desirable)

Nice to Have: Cisco Meraki, AWS Networking, SolarWinds, ThousandEyes, NetBrain
