We are currently seeking an experienced GE PowerOn Advantage (PoA) Solution Consultant to lead the delivery and integration of Outage Management System (OMS) solutions within the power utilities sector. This is a hands-on, technical role involving end-to-end deployment, integration, and operational transition of PoA systems in a complex, multi-vendor environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead architecture design and deployment across SCADA, DMS, and OMS platforms.
  • Integrate PoA with external enterprise applications such as GIS, WFM, PI, and Historian systems.
  • Execute system configuration, functional testing, and solution acceptance processes.
  • Define and implement integration strategies and system design for optimal performance.
  • Prepare and execute test plans, ensuring compliance with industry and security standards.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including utility clients and third-party vendors.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide operational support post-deployment.
  • Adhere to IT/OT security requirements and regulatory frameworks (e.g., NERC CIP).

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven hands-on experience with PowerOn Advantage (PoA) system deployments.
  • Strong integration expertise with OT systems including SCADA, OMS, and DMS.
  • Proficiency in PL/SQL, Shell scripting, PFL, and Perl.
  • Experience with database technologies and reporting tools (e.g., MS SQL Server, SSRS).
  • Familiarity with both Windows and Linux environments.
  • In-depth understanding of the utility sector, including operational compliance and standards.
  • Background in multi-discipline project environments within the power utilities industry.

Preferred Industry Knowledge:

  • Practical experience in ADMS, DERMS, DRMS, and real-time electric grid operations.
  • Strong grasp of utility distribution engineering, planning, and outage management.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to optimise large-scale operational systems.
