Desktop Support Engineer100% OnsiteLocation:Gloucester, UKContract:6+ months | Start Date: 15 Aug 2025Rate:£210/day (Inside IR35)Security Clearance:SC Cleared (Mandatory)About the RoleOur client, a leading global organization, is looking for an experienced Desktop Support Engineer to join their busy IT Infrastructure team in Gloucester. This 100% onsite role focused on delivering first-class technical support to end-users, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal productivity. You will handle troubleshooting, device management, IT moves, and user support across a variety of technologies.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide L1 support for hardware, software, Windows 10, VPNs, printers, mobile devices, and Office apps.Build, deploy, and manage laptops/desktops (Microsoft Managed Devices).Troubleshoot network, application, and conference room device issues.Manage incidents, update tickets, and maintain asset inventory.Support VIP users and handle vendor coordination.Configure Azure accounts, Teams admin settings, and Intune policies.Perform IT desk moves, patching, meeting room setup, and device retirement.Provide in-person Tech Bar support and training when required.Required Skills & ExperienceProven desktop support experience in a Microsoft Managed Desktop environment.Strong knowledge of Windows 10 troubleshooting, Intune, and antivirus tools (Defender/McAfee).Experience with Azure account management, Teams admin, and SharePoint L1 support.Knowledge of cloud printing, Starlink satellite devices, and mobile device setup (iPhone/iPad).ITIL certification or strong process knowledge.Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.Ability to work onsite, occasionally out of hours, and travel to other sites if required.Additional InformationDepartment:IT InfrastructureWorking Pattern:100% onsite, MondayFriday (with flexibility for project needs).SC Clearance is essentialapplicants without active clearance cannot be considered.TPBN1_UKTJ
