About the role
We are seeking to recruit a Skills Coach (Degree Apprenticeships) in the Faculty of Science and Engineering who will support our growing cohort of Degree Apprentices. The postholder will support our apprentices in developing the skills and behaviours needed to thrive in their apprenticeships – this will include leading tri-partite meetings with apprentices and their employers.
Sitting within the Faculty of Science and Engineering Degree Apprenticeship Team, the post holder will undertake a range of duties to support and coach Level 6 Degree Apprentices to develop their knowledge, skills, and behaviours to successfully complete their apprenticeship. This role involves leading tri-partite meetings with apprentices and employers. It is a hybrid role, with opportunities to work at Queen Mary’s Mile End Campus, London City Institute of Technology, and remotely.

The successful candidate will have an understanding of Degree Apprenticeships and demonstrate a strong commitment to supporting students effectively to enable their success and development.
About the Faculty of Science and Engineering
The Faculty comprises five Schools that deliver research and education activities. It has key interactions with partner organizations, including overseas partners, government departments, research and education networks, funders, and regulators. The role sits within the Professional Services team, and the role holder is expected to be an active part of the university’s support staff, collaborating with academic colleagues across various responsibilities to help deliver its academic mission.
