About the Institute/Project

The Rosenfeld lab (www.rosenfeldlab.org) at the Barts Cancer Institute, Queen Mary University of London, pioneers new approaches for non-invasive molecular diagnostics and analysis of cancer genomes and evolution, using next-generation sequencing of circulating cell-free tumour DNA (ctDNA). We work with large collections of patient samples from different clinical studies, which we analyse by both genome-wide and targeted methods for sensitive mutation detection. We aim to develop novel tools for cancer diagnostics by developing improved methods and demonstrating clinical utility. Furthermore, we explore the biophysical properties of ctDNA with the aim of identifying its origins and interactions.
