The Senior Lecturer will contribute to the professional education and intellectual life of the Department of Accounting and Financial Management (AFM)/School and wider institution. They will provide considerable and up-to-date expertise from the external practice of, or high level of engagement with, accounting professional bodies, imparting their knowledge and experience to students through professional education curriculum development and the delivery of teaching activities in the subject area of accounting.

Candidates for this post must have extensive experience in delivering ICAEW professional-level exemptions and be able to work collaboratively with the ICAEW education team to achieve the highest standards and quality in assessments, including higher level exemption pass mark requirements. The successful applicant will be willing to undertake ICAEW training sessions and prepare students for excellent outcomes. As Deputy Programme Director, you will play a key role in preparing students for paid placements at PwC, ensuring they are ready to excel in a professional environment. The role also requires flexibility to work extended hours during peak teaching periods.

  • Deliver ICAEW professional-level exemptions and work collaboratively with the ICAEW education team to achieve high standards in assessments, including higher level exemption pass mark requirements.
  • Undertake ICAEW training sessions and prepare students for excellent outcomes.
  • As Deputy Programme Director, prepare students for paid placements at PwC and ensure they are ready to excel in a professional environment.
  • Be flexible to work extended hours during peak teaching periods.
