You will play a key role in coordination and delivery of clinical study(s) and trials within the WPP team. The team currently undertakes PROTECT-C (large population based testing study), PROTECTOR, DETECT-2, PRESCORES, SECRETS, JHCR, LEGACY, OVACATCH, UKCOGS, LEGACY, SIGNPOST studies/trials.
You will ensure the smooth and efficient running of research studies and clinical trials that contribute to high-quality research and impact public health and clinical practice. You will be responsible for supporting research delivery, site engagement, trial governance, protocol adherence, operational activity, liaison/engagement with funders, collaborators, oversight committees, sponsors and stakeholders. Working closely with trial investigators, multi-disciplinary researchers and external partners, you will oversee research timelines, operational implementation, budget adherence, governance compliance, managing reporting requirements, and ensure studies meet their objectives.
The post is based at our Charterhouse Square Campus in London. It is a full-time fixed-term appointment for 3 years, with an expected start date of around August/September 2026.
We are looking for an experienced and proactive individual to support operational delivery and management of studies in the team. Strong organisational, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills are essential. You should have experience managing varied operational aspects of research activity including liaising/engaging with multiple stakeholders and preparing reports for funders and regulators. Excellent communication skills are required to provide clear updates to internal and external teams.
The Wolfson Institute of Population Health (WIPH) is an exciting and dynamic environment, home to 450 staff, 100 PhD students and 500 postgraduate taught students. The Centre for Cancer Screening, Prevention and Early Diagnosis (CCSPED) forms part of the WIPH and brings together globally leading researchers focusing on cancer prevention, screening and detection and early diagnosis across two units.
