We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Lecturer in Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy, with a focus on Paediatric Dentistry and Restorative Dentistry, to contribute to our high-quality teaching and scholarship. Key Duties

  • Contribute to the teaching and delivery of the BSc (Hons) Dental Hygiene and Therapy Undergraduate Programme, including clinical supervision.
  • Provide academic and personal support to students.
  • Support student recruitment and admissions in the subject area.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Professional Membership/Registration with the GDC is an essential requirement.
  • Candidate with a Diploma or equivalent/higher qualification in Dental Hygiene or Dental Therapy.
  • At least three years of postgraduate clinical experience in dental hygiene and therapy.
  • Experience in teaching within a classroom and clinical setting.
  • Strong record in pedagogy and student support.
  • Higher education teaching accreditation (Associate Fellow or Fellow of the Higher Education Academy) or in the process of obtaining it.
  • Postgraduate qualification in science, dental, or education is desirable.
  • Strong communication skills, the ability to develop funding proposals, and to build relationships and manage conflicts positively.
