We are seeking applications for two teaching and scholarship lecturers in Biomedical Science and Preclinical disciplines. We are recruiting lecturers who are able to undertake the full range of teaching and administrative activities in at least one module from list A and list B, and should already have expertise in at least one of the subjects and ideally both. In addition, successful applicants will contribute to the different year 3 project modules.

Applicants are also expected to be able to develop plans and execute scholarship projects aligned with teaching and learning. We are looking to recruit highly collegiate individuals to join an interactive interdisciplinary team working together to support and encourage student learning and development. You will have a passion for your chosen academic disciplines, but should also have the appropriate subject knowledge and ability to teach and integrate knowledge across the range of subjects on the Biomedical Sciences undergraduate curriculum.

Underpinning our teaching is the development of critical thinking skills in our students to enable our qualified graduates to be well versed in evidence-based medicine in later practice and research. Therefore, we expect the successful candidate will have an excellent academic background with a relevant PhD in the Life or Biomedical Sciences and/or equivalent professional qualification and experience.

The School is a large and expanding academic unit, which provides a supportive and friendly environment that prides itself on its inclusivity of staff and students, as well as research-led innovative teaching throughout its educational programmes. Joint Programme staff interact extensively with one another both in Nanchang and Mile End in person.
