The Impact Team plays an essential role in this, working closely with other knowledge exchange teams to provide joined-up and expert support to enable impact of all types from across the university.
Responsibilities
- Building a culture of research impact across Queen Mary, through training, networking and capacity building.
- Providing specialist support to develop, capture, evidence and evaluate the impact of Queen Mary's research.
- Managing systems and processes for analysis and capture of impact activity and evidence.
- Administering the Queen Mary Impact Fund, including our Impact Acceleration Account allocations.
- Supporting preparations for the Research Excellence Framework (REF), by maximising the quality of impact related materials within Queen Mary's submission.
This role is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in supporting research impact and/or knowledge exchange. The postholder will have a demonstrable interest in the range of ways research from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences can lead to research impact, ideally with experience of working in a similar role or area previously. The successful candidate will join a vibrant and supportive team. The Impact Team is part of the Research Services Directorate. The post is primarily based at Queen Mary Dept W near Whitechapel and will also involve meetings on the Mile End campus and travel to occasional external meetings. The team works in a hybrid format, with a minimum of two days per week on campus.
