This London-based role at the William Harvey Clinical Research Centre supports patient involvement in respiratory research (asthma, COPD). Ideal for those seeking NHS experience with respiratory patients. Includes training and work mainly at Charterhouse, with occasional duties at Barts Health NHS Trust. You have a minimum of 2 A levels or equivalent is expected with Academic or Vocational qualification(s) in clinical research and/or trials (or experience amounting to the same), incorporating experience of clinical trials operations, patient or volunteer recruitment and operating to ICH Good Clinical Practice. You will also hold intermediate to advanced ICT skills (Windows: Excel, Word, Power Point).

The post holder will be expected to be co-operative and flexible, undertaking clinical, administrative and other duties as may be reasonably expected of a member of clinical research grade staff in a university.

The William Harvey Clinical Research Centre was founded in 1998 and helps patients to become involved in research on new treatments and drugs for a wide range of diseases including severe asthma and COPD. Many drugs which have become standard care within the NHS have come through our clinic. We run a mixture of studies from commercially sponsored trials with new drugs— inhaled or injected, or devices. We also support academic trials and charity funded studies and have links with GP surgeries across North and East London. We work closely with colleagues from Barts Health and the NIHR Barts Biomedical Research centre.
