Queen MaryAvenue Infant and Nursery School has an exciting opportunity for ahigh-quality, nurturing SENDCO to join our lovely school.
Thisis a demanding, but rewarding, role and will require someone who is passionateabout supporting some of our most vulnerable pupils to achieve their bestpossible outcomes (both academic & non-academic). The successful candidatewill need to demonstrate resilience, dedication and passion for the pupils inour school.
The successful candidate:

- Promotes the safetyand wellbeing of all pupils
- Can build positive relationships withchildren and put them at the centre of everything they do
- Has experience of supporting SEND
- Has sound knowledge of the SEND codeof practice
- Is a motivational teacher and cansupport staff in ensuring SEND children access quality first teaching andprovision
- Is an advocate for our SEND pupils
- Can support staff to meet the needsof all learners and deliver effective interventionsCan analyse and present datasuccinctly
- Has high expectations of achievementand behaviour and believes that every child can achieve and make progress
- Can communicate positively withchildren, parents, staff and external agencies, working effectively as part ofa team around a child
- Prioritises our relationship withparents and can work in collaboration with them in the best interests of thechildren
- Has excellent organisational skillsalongside a commitment to team work
- Has the ability to work underpressure and prioritise
- Has knowledge and experience ofsignposting and liaising with other agencies
- Has knowledge of report writing, EHCPapplications and reviews.
- Supports and promotes the ethos ofour school
