Sports and Leisure Services
Hours: Part-Time. 10 hours per week.
Grade 3: £23,581 - £24,044 per annum (with possible progression to £25,433). Pro-rata for part-time.
Queen Margaret University Sport & Fitness is looking for a friendly, enthusiastic, and customer-focused individual to join their team. The facilities include a fitness suite and weights room, exercise studio, outdoor all-weather pitch, and sports hall.
The successful applicant will be required to:
- Supervise the use of all areas of the centre
- Carry out gym inductions and programmes
- Set up equipment
- Deliver exercise classes
- Provide excellent customer service
- Perform reception duties
You will have:
- A Fitness Instructor (Gym) qualification equivalent to REPs level 2
- The ability to lead group exercise classes
- A First Aid at Work certificate
The ability to work in a team within a customer service-focused environment is essential for the role. You should be adaptable, flexible, and able to use your own initiative. Previous experience in a similar position, a REPs level 3 qualification, and the ability to instruct specialized exercise classes (for example, indoor cycling, yoga, etc.) would be desirable for the role. Shifts will include working evenings and weekends.
