Overview
As a Cover Supervisor, you\โll play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning during teacher absences by delivering pre-set lessons across a range of subjects. While keeping learning on track, you\โll create a calm, purposeful environment where every student feels supported. You\โll work with learners of all abilities, helping them stay engaged and ensuring each lesson runs smoothly in the teacher\โs absence. You\โll also play an important part in the wider life of the academy by supporting staff, contributing to pastoral care and assisting the Cover Team with day-to-day administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
- Deliver pre-set lessons across a range of subjects to maintain continuity of learning during teacher absences.
- Create a calm, purposeful environment where every student feels supported.
- Work with learners of all abilities, helping them stay engaged and ensuring each lesson runs smoothly in the teacher\\\โs absence.
- Support staff, contribute to pastoral care and assist the Cover Team with day-to-day administrative tasks.
Qualifications
- Experience working with young people in an educational setting.
- Clear communication and the ability to lead a class independently.
- Commitment to safeguarding, equality and professional growth.
