The role

As Queen Elizabeth Prize for Engineering Manager, you will help manage and deliver the prestigious Queen Elizabeth Prize for Engineering (QEPrize) – a £500,000 annual prize celebrating engineering excellence with worldwide impact for humanity. You will support the work of our community of global experts as they identify game‑changing engineering innovations and collaborate with the Royal Academy of Engineering to provide the international judging panel with detailed, complete, peer‑reviewed nominations, ensuring a smooth judging process that celebrates engineering visionaries.

You will manage QEPrize cycle activities and support the delivery of our flagship events where we recognise the work of our QEPrize Laureates. You will be responsible for partnership management with senior stakeholders across industry, academia, government and more. Situated at the Royal Academy of Engineering in central London, you will work closely with colleagues across the Academy and key partners.

This is a varied manager role – part stakeholder relations and administration, part researcher – and we are looking for a highly organised, proactive, effective communicator and stakeholder manager.

Qualifications

  • Highly organised and methodical, with meticulous attention to detail and excellent time‑management skills
  • Experience tracking finances, negotiating with suppliers and managing multiple work streams
