We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic Theatre Practitioners experienced within the fields of Scrub in different specialties in Main Theatres to join the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, King\'s Lynn. As a member of the operating team, you will provide an effective and efficient service to clinicians and other service users depending on need. You will ensure that all activities carried out are within the Queen Elizabeth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust policies and guidelines and promote the Trust’s Vision and Nursing Strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Provide and deliver a high standard of care through the assessment, planning, implementing and evaluating individual patients’ needs based on evidence and working in partnership with the multi-disciplinary team.
  • Act as an advocate for patients where necessary whilst respecting their privacy and dignity within a caring environment.
  • Provide expert, skilled assistance in the scrubbed role and circulating role within the Operating Department and other areas such as Delivery Suite or the Emergency Department if a clinical need arises.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment within the clinical area in accordance with the Trust’s Health and Safety and Infection Control policies.
  • Ensure that all records of patient care are completed accurately.
  • Admin & Clerical staff may be required to act as Loggists for a major incident.
  • All staff should possess a minimum level of computer literacy for day-to-day work.
