Responsibilities
- Provide care and support to patients attending our Gynaecology Outpatients Department.
- Work under the indirect supervision of the Registered Nurse and maintain high standards of care, managing time, tasks and resources effectively.
- Support the Urogynaecology Specialist Nurses in their Nurse Led clinics, including Urodynamics, Trial without catheter, and Self Catheterisation teaching.
- Support the consultants with sterile‑procedure clinics, including oncology, post‑menopausal bleeding, suspected cancer diagnostic clinics, hysteroscopy, colposcopy and Early Pregnancy Unit if required.
- Act as a role model to deliver a high standard of care and promote a patient focused service as appropriately delegated by the Nursing team.
- Record interventions, treatments, and any changes in the woman's health status, including adverse reactions, taking appropriate action to escalation for assistance as required.
- Identify any potential risks within the environment and take appropriate action.
- Ensure own knowledge of Trust policies and procedures is current and work within the required frameworks.
