We are seeking an experienced Neonatal Staff Nurse at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
Responsibilities:
- Promote and deliver high‑quality, evidence‑based care for neonates, ensuring clinical practice supports the best possible outcomes for patients and their families.
- Provide expert support, advice, and guidance to colleagues across hospital and community settings.
- Support the safe and effective discharge of babies from the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Transitional Care, including undertaking home visits to assess ongoing care needs, monitor progress, and ensure families feel confident and supported.
- Work closely with the NICU Nurse in Charge, contributing to the smooth and efficient day‑to‑day running of the unit.
- Communicate and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide a coordinated, compassionate, family‑centred approach to care.
- Ensure continuity across services, providing support and discharge for babies admitted to NICU and Transitional Care returning home.
- Review and assess patients at home and prior to discharge from hospital.
Qualifications:
- Experienced Neonatal Staff Nurse with a relevant specialist qualification or a clear willingness to undertake further professional development within the specialty.
- Must have a UK driving licence.
