The Emergency Department is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to work alongside the existing Senior Sister and Charge Nurse team. You will facilitate the day to day management of the department alongside the departmental lead and wider team with a view to leading the team into exciting new times to ensure the highest standards of emergency care for the people who live in our local community.
Responsibilities
- Having continuing responsibility for the 24‑hour management of the ward and delivery of patient care.
- Line management of ward‑based nursing staff (e.g., Housekeeper, Ward Clerk).
- Promoting continuous development in clinical practice and delivery of patient care, encouraging innovation, improvement and appropriate change in service delivery.
- Managing resources within an agreed budget.
- Providing a suitable and stimulating learning environment for students and for the ongoing professional development of registered staff.
- Maintaining communication networks at all appropriate clinical and managerial levels.
