Overview

Team QEH have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual to join our Medical Secretariat Team. We are looking for an Assistant Medical Secretary to provide secretarial assistance to PA\’s, Senior Medical Secretaries and Consultants. There is potential for progression within the Secretariat. Previous secretarial experience is desirable but not essential for this post. Note: When sufficient qualified applicants have been received this post will be closed; as part of your role you will liaise with other colleagues in the team to contribute to the smooth running of the department.

Responsibilities

  • Provide secretarial assistance to PA\’s, Senior Medical Secretaries and Consultants.
  • Be well organized and able to deal with the public efficiently and politely.
  • Use the Patient Centre information system in accordance with Trust procedures in a timely way to assist in co-ordination of care pathways (training will be given).
  • Work to a very high standard.
  • Admin & Clerical staff may be required to act as Loggists for a major incident.
  • All staff should be computer literate as part of becoming more digitally mature.
  • Contribute to the smooth running of the department by liaising with other colleagues in the team.

Qualifications and requirements

  • Previous secretarial experience is desirable but not essential for this post.
  • Previous typing/word processing skills are essential for this post.
  • Ability to liaise with the public and stay well organised.
