We are looking to recruit an organised and methodical person with excellent customer service skills to join our busy Outpatient Reception Team at The North Cambridgeshire Hospital, Wisbech.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming calls to the Outpatient Reception areas, dealing with queries politely and promptly, relaying messages and liaising with other departments where appropriate.
  • Book patient appointments using the Patient Administration System, manage clinic operations including cancelling and creating clinics, and perform general reception duties.
  • Update patient personal details, collect routine information such as ethnic origin and Overseas Visitor Status.
  • Receive patients for relevant outpatient clinics and provide administrative support to clinic staff.
  • Cancel clinics and create ad hoc clinics upon request by Operational Teams.
  • Ensure compliance with Caldicott recommendations, Health Records Management, and Patient Administration Policy and procedural guidance.
