The post holder is a key member of the Corporate Governance team. Working closely with the Assistant Company Secretary, the post holder will take the lead on the management of the Board, its committees, and other key meetings, to ensure appropriate and robust decision making and assurance processes are developed and maintained.
The post holder will also fulfil and oversee some corporate functions on behalf of the Chief Executive and the Assistant Company Secretary, including responsibility for the Annual Report, Code of Business Conduct including managing the register of declarations. The post holder will deputise as appropriate for the Assistant Company Secretary.
Main duties of the job
The Senior Corporate Administrator has responsibility for ensuring that a full and comprehensive service is maintained.
- Ensure the provision of effective committee services, including the maintenance of appropriate arrangements for the pre-meetings, distribution of papers, administrative support at the meeting and after the meeting and all logistical arrangements for corporate meetings.

Qualifications
- Education to degree level and management qualification or equivalent experience
- Good standard of general education – 5 GCSE’s or equivalent including Mathematics and English
Experience
- Experience of working with Trust Board members and very Senior Managers
- Experience of working in a corporate environment
- Competent working with a range of Microsoft Office packages (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access)
- Experience of developing and improving administration systems/ processes
Skills, abilities and knowledge
- Advanced keyboard/IT skills
- Good understanding of Corporate Governance and administration processes within the NHS
- Ability to establish and maintain relevant recording and information systems
