Overview
We are looking for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist who wishes to take their next steps on the career ladder and is looking for a new challenge. The role will be based within the Elderly Medical Team at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

The post holder will work as part of an integrated team as an autonomous practitioner to provide a high standard of intervention across the specialities. Our integrated team is committed to providing highly specialist assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patients within the elderly and frailty settings. You will be required to work alongside your colleagues as an independent practitioner, applying a high level of clinical reasoning to ensure individualised, proactive and holistic assessment and treatment planning.

Responsibilities

Serve as an autonomous practitioner within an integrated rehabilitation service and multidisciplinary ward teams.

Support and develop rotational Band 5 Occupational Therapists.

Supervise unregistered staff and educate Occupational Therapy students on placement.

Actively participate in quality improvement projects to develop the team.
