Responsibilities:
- Take a lead role in monitoring the waiting list in accordance with Trust Policies and wait time targets.
- Proactively manage the booking of the theatre list on a daily basis to ensure NHS and Trust targets are achieved to prevent breaches.
- Co‑ordinate the admission and associated pre‑operative pre‑assessment clinics along with booking of HDU, Xray and additional paediatric requirements.
- Communicate all changes to planned admissions, theatre lists, intended procedure, equipment requirements and surgeon to relevant staff.
- Take a lead role in managing and monitoring the waiting lists in accordance with Trust and national wait time targets and RTT pathways, including Cancer, elective, diagnostics, planned elective and cancellations on the day.
- Participate in the day to day input on a variety of data systems patient information for admission/discharge and waiting list process to facilitate effective, timely information flow.
- Ensure adherence to both NHS and Trust RTT pathway wait times for elective, cancer, diagnostic, planned and on the day cancellations.
- Capacity escalation as and when required.
