Quectel Wireless Solutions is a global IoT technology developer and cellular module supplier of 5G, LTE, LTE-A, LPWA, Smart Module, C-V2X, GSM/GPRS, UMTS/HSPA(+) and GNSS modules. Due to business expansion in the EMEA region, Quectel is looking for motivated and proactive candidates to join our team.
We are looking for a Field Application Engineer to provide pre- and post-sales technical support across Quectel’s full wireless portfolio, including 5G, LTE, GNSS, and short-range products. In this role, you will deliver customer trainings, presentations, and on-site support while developing demo applications to ease integration. You will also act as a key technical partner, offering solutions tailored to customer applications and ensuring smooth product adoption.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for Quectel’s entire product portfolios, including 5G, LTE/LTE-A, UMTS/HSPA, GSM/GPRS, short-range products and GNSS wireless technologies.
- Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support and customer trainings on Quectel wireless modules and development tools.
- Provide quick responses to customers' technical enquiries, being prepared to travel for on-site support.
- Give product presentations and conduct product and tool training for customers on-site.
- Provide tangible feedback and feasible Quectel solutions to customers, according to their applications.
- Develop demo applications to help customers evaluate and integrate Quectel modules in an easier and more effective way.
- Prepare weekly technical reports indicating the support activities and open issues progress.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, Marketing, or related field.
- Experience in embedded software design (hardware design experience is good to have).
- Experience in IoT applications and protocols such as MQTT, CoAP etc.
- Experience working with cellular modules and wireless modules like WIFI/BT (hands-on experience).
- Experience in developing applications and firmware in C/C++ on Linux and RTOS embedded systems.
- Familiar with USB driver, AT commands, SMS, Voice, TCP/IP processing etc.
- Fluency in English.
