You will join a development team building a new platform for managing and interpreting investment trade ideas from external contributors. The system is designed to enhance visibility into global equity opportunities and improve the firm’s ability to assess risk and reward. You’ll work on a real-time, always-on application, delivering iteratively in close collaboration with internal stakeholders. This is a fast-paced environment where technical ownership and user feedback shape the evolution of the platform.
Your future role within QRT:
- Build a real-time application for capturing and analysing investment trade ideas from external sources
- Design and operate a high-availability system with continuous data ingestion and processing
- Deliver iterative improvements in close collaboration with end users and stakeholders
- Own architectural and design decisions with an eye on long-term business outcomes
- Contribute to the evolution of the tech stack in line with platform needs and QRT-wide engineering standards
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a software engineer
- Expertise in C# or a similar compiled, strongly typed, object-oriented language; willingness to work in C# is essential
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to align development with business priorities
- Comfortable gathering requirements and setting direction in partnership with technical and non-technical colleagues
The following would be beneficial:
- Experience working in a trading or front-office environment
- Knowledge of distributed systems, observability, and system design principles
- Proficiency in Python
- Exposure to AWS and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform
