Your future role within QRT:

The successful candidate will join the infrastructure team at QRT as a hands-on Lead within our Research Infrastructure Engineering team. This team is responsible for our cutting-edge high-performance trading and research infrastructure and for the development and maintenance across operating system platforms, software development tooling, high-performance computing, high-performance networking, and large-scale storage systems.

The candidate will work directly with our research and trading teams with a primary focus on Linux-based systems. This includes workload scheduling design and implementation, management of systems at large scale, high-performance file system design and operation, software design and life cycle (SDLC), kernel and network performance tuning for low-latency and high-throughput applications, instrumentation, and telemetry collection.

Your present skillsets:

  • 10+ years of experience in Linux systems administration and platform engineering, with a proven track record of technical leadership.
  • Deep knowledge of high-performance analysis, tuning, and optimization across Linux kernel tuning, hardware optimization, network performance, and storage performance.
  • Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve high-complexity system issues, optimizing system performance and reliability.
  • Deep knowledge of DevOps tooling including Terraform/Ansible and experience with CI/CD technologies such as GitLab and Jenkins.
  • Strong knowledge of Python, Golang, or similar programming and scripting languages.
  • Expertise in infrastructure metric visualization using Splunk, Prometheus, and Grafana.
  • Experience with container technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
