Join our Tax & Finance team as a Tax Specialist with U.S. tax experience, supporting tax compliance, advisory, and operational tax processes.
Your future role within QRT:
- Coordinate with external tax preparers and review U.S. federal and state/local tax filings (Forms 1065, 1120, 5471, 8865, 1042, PFIC reporting, etc.), with additional support on international/non-U.S. tax filings.
- Assist with ad hoc advisory matters and compliance for U.S./ international withholding tax regimes, including Chapters 3 and 4, FATCA, and CRS.
- Support the completion and submission of withholding tax exemption forms (e.g., W-8BEN-E, treaty forms, and equivalents in other jurisdictions).
- Liaise with internal teams and external counterparties to ensure proper documentation and withholding positions across jurisdictions.
- Monitor and advise on FIRPTA, USRPHC status, and Section 302 redemption events for U.S. investment portfolios.
- Research and engage with external tax advisors on U.S. and international tax technical matters.
- Monitor, track, and assess developments in U.S. and international tax regulations.
- Contribute to internal tax policies, controls, process automation, and documentation.
- 4+ years of U.S. tax experience in Big 4 or equivalent, with a financial services focus (e.g., hedge fund, PE, or VC) or a similar role in a financial services firm.
- U.S. CPA (preferred) or Enrolled Agent qualification.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. partnership and corporate tax rules, as well as U.S. anti-deferral rules.
- Experience with international tax matters in a tax advisory capacity is a plus.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Self-starter with a strong sense of urgency and the ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment.
