?? Class 1 HGV Night Driver – £18.95ph - £23.00ph - Doncaster - Temp to perm
We are recruiting experienced Class 1 (C+E) HGV Drivers to join a reputable and well known client of ours in Doncaster.
This role involves delivering goods to supermarket stores, ensuring deliveries are completed safely, efficiently and on time.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Driving a Class 1 vehicle to deliver goods to stores.
- Completing store deliveries in line with planned routes and delivery schedules.
- Handling cages and roll containers.
- Safely manoeuvring the vehicle in store delivery areas and loading bays.
- Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks and reporting any defects.
- Completing delivery paperwork and following all delivery procedures.
- Maintaining regular communication with the transport team regarding delays or issues.
- Following drivers' hours regulations, road traffic laws and company health and safety procedures.
- Providing a professional and courteous service when delivering to Tesco stores.
- Ensuring goods are transported securely and handled with care.
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) driving licence.
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Previous Class 1 driving experience preferred.
- Comfortable with store deliveries and handling cages or roll containers.
- Good understanding of drivers' hours and road safety regulations.
- Reliable, punctual and professional approach to work.
