Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Health & Safety Manager to help us build and embed a proactive safety culture—one that protects people, improves systems, and empowers everyone to work with confidence and care. Main duties: * Policy & Compliance: Create, update, and communicate H&S policies to align with UK law and best practices. * Risk Management: Lead audits and risk assessments, implement mitigation strategies, and manage compliance reporting. * Emergency Preparedness: Design and deliver emergency response plans, fire drills, and continuity exercises. * Safety Culture Champion: Run training sessions, toolbox talks, and campaigns that make safety part of our DNA. * Incident Response & Reporting: Investigate accidents and near-misses, analyse trends, and implement preventative strategies. * Strategic Influence: Manage the health and safety budget and training resources; collaborate with external bodies like the HSE and local authorities.
