? Shift Length: Typically 89 hours | Job & Finish
We are currently recruiting experienced Class 2 HGV Drivers to join a busy and well-established drinks distribution operation based in Southampton.
The role involves delivering alcohol and other drinks products to local bars, pubs, restaurants and eateries across the surrounding area.
?? The Role
- Delivering alcohol and drinks products to local bars, pubs, restaurants and eateries
- Working as part of a Driver + Driver's Mate team
- Deliveries are completed using a handball method, involving regular manual handling
- Typically 89 hour shifts
- Job & Finish once your deliveries are completed, your working day is finished
- Working closely with your Driver's Mate to ensure deliveries are completed safely and efficiently
- Providing a professional and friendly service to customers
- Completing daily vehicle checks and ensuring the vehicle is kept clean and safe
?? Training & Induction
All successful drivers will complete:
- Classroom-based induction
- Driving assessment
- Full familiarisation with the delivery process and requirements
- Support and guidance before going out on deliveries independently
? Requirements
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph
- Previous HGV Class 2 driving experience preferred
- Comfortable with handball and manual handling
- Good customer service skills
- Reliable, punctual and professional
- Able to work effectively as part of a Driver + Driver's Mate team
- Good knowledge of UK roads
