Our client is seeking a reliable, proactive, and experienced Area Cleaning Manager/Supervisor to oversee cleaning operations across multiple sites including schools and sheltered housing within the Kent & Medway area. You’ll be responsible for managing cleaners, maintaining high cleaning standards, ensuring compliance, and liaising with clients. This is a mobile role, so you must be able to travel between sites as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support cleaning teams across designated locations
- Conduct regular site audits, quality checks, and spot inspections
- Liaise with site contacts to maintain service satisfaction
- Train, induct, and support new cleaning staff
- Monitor stock levels and order supplies when needed
- Ensure Health & Safety compliance across all sites
- Submit reports and maintain records as needed
- Must be willing to be "hands on" and willing to occasionally clean to cover staff shortages
Requirements:
- Previous experience in cleaning supervision (essential)
- Full UK driving licence (essential) for access to company van
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Flexible, organised, and able to work under pressure
- Strong understanding of cleaning practices, H&S, and COSHH regulations
- IT literate (basic reporting and rota management)
Hours: 40 per week. Monday to Friday
