What you’ll do * Provide general administrative support. * Assist with issuing of PPE, truck equipment, consumables and office supplies – ensuring stock room is maintained at the required level. * Driver tachograph compliance including driver card/vehicle downloads, investigating and completing manual entries for non-driving days and ensuring drivers review and sign any infringements. * Organising incoming and outgoing post, including arranging courier services. * Assisting with the maintenance of holiday and absence records liaising with Payroll regarding timesheet submission, absence and queries. * Minutes of meetings i.e. investigations and disciplinary hearings. * Recording details of personal injury accidents and collating associated paperwork including road traffic accidents where applicable. * Raising purchase orders and checking supplier invoices whilst liaising with the Accounts department. * Answering customer service phone calls providing ETA’s from load planners. * Any other general administration duties as required. Who you are * Person Specification: The ideal candidate will be / possess: A minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent / relevant qualification) grade A to C, including English and Maths. * Proficient user of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. * The ability to plan and prioritise your work load, ensuring that weekly deadlines are met along with ad-hoc tasks. * Excellent communication skills and experience of liaising with internal departments. * Confident telephone manner/experience of dealing with external suppliers and customers. Monday to Friday – 8am – 5pm (paid 42.5 hrs per week) You must have own transport due to location
